Transformer Oil Recycling
Aevitas expertly provides Canadian industrial, commercial and institutional organizations transformer oil recycling services. Our fleet of transportation service vehicles securely drain and transport large or small volumes, and to prevent emergency ruptures or spills from taking place, we use portable "spill containment berms" on our trucks and tankers. Our Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) certified transformer oil recycling facility receives, treats, and refines used transformer oil, removes all PCB content, and produces new, high grade transformer oil for re-sale. Our 700,000 litre capacity, concrete contained, geosynthetic membrane transformer oil tank farm receives (using our self-contained Quonset hut) and stores transformer oil short or long term.
Our organization's MODEF60 mineral insulating oil is a recycled transformer oil that is napthenic based and meets existing ASTM quality standards. MODEF60 mineral insulating oil can be supplied in either type I or type II formulations. Our type II "supercharged" inhibited transformer oil (available in totes, drums or pails) can be added to existing transformer oil to halt the oxidation process that naturally occurs within transformers over time. Please view technical information for our type I and type II transformer oils by visiting:
We also supply silicone transformer fluid (available in tote, drum, or pail form) which is recycled and reprocessed for use in either retro-filling or silicone fluid level top ups on existing silicone filled transformers. For more information on our silicone transformer fluid, please visit MSDS silicone fluid.
